Our client is a specialist in insurance businesses with operations in Europe, the USA and Asia. They are a market leader in many of its chosen lines, which include professional indemnity, directors and officers, crime, healthcare, property, environmental liability, cyber liability, marine, reinsurance, accident and life, and political risks and contingency business.

As a Collections Specialist:

- You will take care of the active management of aged debts, unallocated cash, internal and external queries.
- You will take care of the daily credit control technical process.
- You will contact brokers for unpaid premiums debts.
- You will take care of the monthly management, metrics, controls trending reporting.
- You will prepare and issue broker statements.
- You will ensure that credit control processes operate smoothly, efficiently and in line with internal service level for a client portfolio.
- You will be the point of contact for underwriters, clients and brokers.
- You will manage internal / external payment queries and ensure service levels are met.
- You will provide a professional service to brokers and other external partners in all interactions.
- You will ensure that appropriate standards are established and complied with.
- You will provide credit control services in line with UK RoW time zones.
- You will develop meaningful and strong working relationships with brokers and key stakeholders across our client’s Group.
- You will adopt a culture of Professionalism, Integrity, Effectiveness and Dynamic attitude.

You are the person we are looking for if:

- You have at least 2 years’ experience working in Credit Control or Cash Allocations. A mix of both would be ideal.
- You are familiar with Accounting principles.
- You have an excellent attention to detail.
- You have a proficient level of Spanish and English. Any other European language would be a plus.
- You know how to use the Office Suite.
- You have a financial/insurance background, it would be a plus.
- You are able to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize.
- You are a strong communicator that is able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are able to work independently.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills.
- You know how to interact with underwriters, business managers, financial departments, underwriting assistants, it would be a plus.
