Our client is a Telecommunication company with European shared service centre based in Barcelona. The company is an award winning and leading provider of Data, Voice and Managed Services to business and government in Europe.
As a Technical Solutions Manager, you will be working in the Solution Design and Transition department and reporting to Manager. Your will be involved in a centralized technical support team based in Barcelona.
Your main responsibilities:
-Translate the customer’s business requirements into an implementable managed services ICT solution.
-Design and own the solution from a technical perspective, from initial contact with customer through the business development, sales and service transition processes into in-life.
-Act as the technical design authority for the solution and carry out a design assurance role to ensure the solution is implemented
-Understands customer requirement within the context of overall customer environment and business plan
-Is able to propose alternatives and enhancements to the initial proposal, based on his/her experience
-Fluent in direct customer contact, able to act a real partner of customer
-Integration into a consolidated team, able to work with local and international teams, and lead them to design and deliver the best solution in the appropriated timescales
-Able to lead multiple projects at same time
We are looking for a person with the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Qualifications:
-ITIL Foundation Course qualified or equivalent demonstrable experience
-PRINCE2 Practitioner or similar programme or Project management training or equivalent demonstrable experience
Experience:
-Infrastructure knowledge in a Managed Service environment and very good understanding of client’s business requirements, including being able to understand the criticality, impact and value of the solution to the customer’s business.
-Expert in Managed IT, in special into the Networking and Security areas is essential. Any additional technical skills will be valued.
-Having a track record of project and programme delivery in to IT area, operational context is essential.
-Good PRINCE2 and ITIL awareness is highly appreciated.
-Experience of major solution builds is required (including coordination of multiple teams).
-Having worked in projects within Public Administration in Catalunya will be highly appreciated.
-Some experience of estimating costs and some awareness of commercial and legal aspects of contracted solutions would be highly desirable.
