Our client is an important chemistry multinational with offices in Barcelona and Geneva with more than 7.000 people across 63 facilities.

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be working in the Information Security team in Barcelona and reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer. Your objective will be the triage and investigation of events in the SOC team.

You will be responsible for:

-Providing in-depth knowledge in collecting, analyzing and escalating security events
-Handling security incidents with the SOC team (incident detection, forensic response and root cause analysis)
-Assisting during technical investigations, forensic (e.g. malware analysis)
-Managing information security solutions such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, threat detection, SIEM
-Validating any project proposal to ensure security best practices and policies are applied and propose if necessary solutions to reach an acceptable level of security
-Providing input and visibility into emerging application security technologies, deployment strategies and other security protocols to ensure awareness within the organisation
-Helping managing vulnerabilities by running regular scans and working on remediation with infrastructure and application teams
-Assisting the end-users with spam/phishing questions

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications

-Security focused industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or OSCP would be appreciated
-Offensive and forensic oriented certifications a plus : CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, SANS

Experience

-Three to five years of experience in Information Security a must (intrusion detection, firewall technologies, Endpoint security…)
-Experienced in IT support (Service desk, local support)
-Experienced in using network vulnerability scanners and ability to analyze scan reports

Skills

-Thorough understanding of cyber security operations, event monitoring, and SIEM tools (commercial and open source)
-Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and architectures, including network, operating systems, middleware
-Good knowledge of open source security solutions (Suricata, Security Onion…)

-Team player
-Ability to document and follow processes and procedures
-Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
-Fluent in English (French or Spanish are a plus)
