Data Engineer - Visualization

As a Data Engineer:

-You will work with our international operations delivering end user services.
-You will play a key role in driving the adoption of state of the art data architectures and platforms.
-Develop the presentation layer for the users of our cloud native data platforms
-Collaborate with business customers and stakeholders to capture their requirements for data solutions
-Provide support and maintenance for existing reporting and analytics solutions
-Participate in infrastructure support activities including incident management and the assessment and delivery of minor infrastructure upgrades and patches
-Develop and maintain configuration repositories according to established version management approaches and methods as defined by
-Collaborate with Application Solution Architects, Business Analysts and other technical resources on the delivery of BI functionality
-Perform detailed activity task management including task estimates and task progress updates
8.Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
-Be adequately informed on product and services delivery progress as it relates to application delivery.
-Document BI application specifications and produce operational support manuals
-Provide continuity with Application and Infrastructure Management operational groups during service transition
-Analyze, implement and configure specialized BI software that satisfies application solution design requirements that could include.
-Must have some or all of the below PowerBI skills.

-University degree in information systems. Relevant Academic certifications to be further specified at job posting would be desirable though not mandatory
-Minimum 8-10 years direct experience creating and operating BI Solutions, desirable PowerBI and MicroStrategy
-Ability to work in agile way, in an international environment, providing service to all markets where Liberty has an operation.
-Knowledge of general insurance sector, products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices.
-Strong understanding of insurance operational processes, information systems and data security.
-Ability and experience to interpret complex business requirements, and apply these in a practical and proportionate way.
-Ability to make/take calculated decisions and to think forward and act accordingly
-Ability to act independently.
-Ability to promote a strong data devops culture.
-Excellent management skills and the ability to interface easily with staff at all levels as well as outside authorities.
-Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders
-Project management and ability to solve problems with good analytical skills.
-Fluency in English and Spanish required. Knowledge in Portuguese would be desirable, though not mandatory.
-Experienced in effectively interacting and communicating with IT Business partners
-Can consolidate requirements and translate them into IT Business deliverables
-Understands BI tools and data integration architectures including ETL in complex technology environments
-Experienced configuring BI solutions within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
-Knowledge of Performance Management methodologies used to drive Business Intelligence solutions
-Good facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively with peer and leadership teams
-Has utilized in their career several different project methodologies and understands when different approaches are appropriate
-Has configured BI Solutions in an integrated team environment working with development and infrastructure team members to provide an end to end solution that satisfied the business requirements.
-Has experience in configuring more than one aspect of BI solutions
