As a Ground Systems software Engineer you will:
- Write significant portions of the Ground Control Station (GCS) software for the Unmanned Air System (UAS)
- Work with the communications team and the human-machine-interface (HMI) team to define the air-to-ground networking architecture and bi-directional data protocol
- Write code to connect the HMI display to the aircraft via the communications links
- Write code to enable the health status displays within the HMI
- Write code to enable the transmission of control commands from the HMI to the aircraft
- Write code to interface with radios/modems/antennas and manage the datalink
- Work with the ground segment lead to define the GCS requirements, software architecture, and software component architecture
- Work with other engineers to develop a test, verification, and validation environment involving flight simulations
- Write code in SCADE/C++ based on DO-178C
You are the person we are lookinf for if:
- You have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or Computer Science
- you have Strong coding skills. Must be proficient in writing code for aerospace applications (this job requires you to write code and review/approve the code of others)
- You have Deep understanding of C++ and/or SCADE
- you have Demonstrated history across all aspects of the systems engineering process: requirements development, design, development, integration, test, verification, and validation
- You have significant experience with safety-critical software development
- You have a strong understanding of IP network architectures
- You have significant Knowledge of aircraft command and control functions and HMI display requirements
- You will work in Madrid
- You will have a stable position with a permanent contract
