Our client uses wireless sensor technology and real-time software solutions to provide operational intelligence to operators and decision makers.
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of our Loadsensing gateways and applications. Your primary focus will be the development of our CMT edge product, which has both hardware and software components. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
Outcomes:
-Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
-Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
-Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
-Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
-Keep documentation up to date and delivered to quality standards
You are the person we are looking for if:
-Experience in at least one high-level, object oriented programming language in different applications (Java, Python, PHP…)
-Knowledge of linux, both user space and system levels (Knowledge of Bash scripting, Package manager system (ipkg, opkg).
-Experience working with embedded systems and resource constrained environments
-Good understanding of networking, systems and security concepts
-Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Nice to Have:
Previous experience with LPWAN protocols, ideally LoRa and LoRaWAN
Knowledge of Bash scripting
Experience working in Agile development following SCRUM process and sprints
Engineering degree
Have developed at least a similar product or application in the past
