Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the Engineering team, reporting to the Technical Manager at the Castelgomberto plant. In this role, you will manage CAPEX plant projects to ensure they meet quality and capacity requirements, while maintaining safety, hygiene, and minimal environmental impact. From concept to execution, you will play a key role in innovation and operational excellence, including supplier management and technical solutions.

Your day-to-day:

• Manage and coordinate projects at the Castelgomberto plant.
• Ensure proper project development:Product specifications and quality
• Required capacity
• Cost minimization
• Safe facilities for people
• Compliance with hygienic standards
• Minimal environmental impact
• Meeting deadlines
• Prepare documentation for CAPEX investment proposals (studies, offers, specifications).
• Collaborate with national and international suppliers.
• Oversee project implementation and follow-up.
• Actively participate in design and execution phases of new projects.
• Contribute to plant design and innovation know-how.
• Evaluate technical requests and propose solutions.

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar).
• Proven experience in technical management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in engineering, maintenance, and project management.
• Experience in the food or pet food industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and preventive maintenance methods.
• Hands-on leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
