Our client provides financing solutions (leasing, renting) for businesses and is based in Oeiras (Lisbon).

¿Qué harás?

We're looking for a Collections Specialist responsible for the proper and timely collection of outstanding payments, in order to minimise costs and optimise returns while maintaining customer satisfaction.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Ensure target achievements (NPL, Risk Cost and Amounts in Days past Due)
  • Manage accounts not defaulted in order to identify reasons for unpaid, and collecting amount in arrears in the short term
  • Set strategy for accounts in default, minimizing potential losses for the company (small and large transactions)
  • Provide accounts in default following the company's rules and policies
  • Manage relationship with external suppliers: Lawyers and recovery agencies
  • Ensure delivery on time reporting required by Local and Group Risk

¿A quién buscamos?

You're the person we're looking for if:

  • You have between 4-5 years of experience in Collections Recovery, desirably in the credit industry
  • You have a university degree, preferably in Economics, Management/ Administration, or similar
  • You're able to manage relationship with suppliers: setting targets and follow up on results
  • You're wiling to perform client visits (in large cases)
  • You're available to travel (10-15%)
  • You have a general knowledge of Financial Institutions practices
  • You have a fluent level of English and a native level of Portuguese
  • You have an advanced command of Excel (pivot tables, vlookup functions...)
  • You have good negotiation skills both over phone and face to face meetings
  • You're highly autonomous, independent and focused on maintaing a high level of productivity
  • You enjoy collaborating with other departments
  • You're disciplined and know how to prioritize your tasks effectively
  • You have great problem-solving skills
