Our client is a multinational insurance company.

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for:

-Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions.
-Analyse financial information summarize finacial status.
-Coordinate resolve various issues with bank (i.e. cleared check differences, targeted balance calculations enhancements to online services, etc); bank liaison.
-Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
-Assist with testing and recieve final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting general ledger reconciliations.
-Participate in financial standards setting in forecast process, assessing risk.
-Prepare financial statements produce budget according to schedule.
-Direct internal external audits to ensure compliance.
-Support month-end year-end close process.
-Develop document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
-Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
-Contribute to department organization special projects as assigned.

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

-Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
-Proven senior accounting experience
-Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures principles
-Experience with creating financial statements
-Experience in Insurance, Reinsurance Private equity area would be considered as a plus
-Fluency in English Spanish (another language would be considered as a plus)
-High proficiency with standard functions in MS/Office suite, especially Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, etc)
-Familiarity with accounting software programs, like SAP/R3 (FI/CO modules) Oracle (finacial modules)
-Strong analytical accounting skills
-High level of numeracy
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills (spoken written)
-Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors and other stakeholders
